Virtual Coffee with Interim Dean Steve O’Brien

Meet TCNJ Engineering’s new Interim Dean, Dr. Steve O’Brien, for an evening coffee chat as he provides an update on how students and staff are adapting to our fully remote semester, shares the lessons learned from remote learning, and his vision for TCNJ Engineering going forward. Dr. Steve O’Brien, professor of Integrative STEM Education, was appointed interim dean of the School of Engineering in June, 2020. Dr. O’Brien joined the college in 2006 and has served in a variety of leadership roles, including director of the Center for Excellence in STEM Education, coordinator of the Master of Education in Integrative STEM Education, and department chair. Dr. O’Brien’s undergraduate degrees are in physics and mathematics and his graduate degrees are in electrical engineering. Prior to TCNJ, Dr. O’Brien held management positions at companies that specialized in semiconductor optical devices.
