TCNJ scores high marks in Wall Street Journal college rankings

The Wall Street Journal recently released its 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. list and TCNJ ranked among the top 20 percent of all institutions in the country.

TCNJ also ranked as the top public college in New Jersey and was second only to Princeton for all institutions in the state.

The WSJ rankings assess 500 colleges and universities from across the country. The methodology stresses student outcomes, including salaries, and the learning environment. Their assessment of the latter incorporates student survey feedback.


 

TCNJ receives $4.25 million in grants to launch new online mental health counseling program, lower education costs for future professionals

Amid a shortage of mental health professionals nationwide, The College of New Jersey has launched a new online Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling program to bolster diversity within the workforce. Michael A. Bernstein named TCNJ’s 17th president

Michael A. Bernstein has been appointed The College of New Jersey’s 17th president, following a vote this afternoon by the school’s Board of Trustees. TCNJ celebrates Earth Week by setting sights on achieving carbon neutrality

The College of New Jersey kicked off Earth Week 2024 by announcing plans to develop a comprehensive energy plan called “TCNJ 2040: The Carbon Neutral Journey.” The plan will establish a roadmap for converting fossil fuel-consuming equipment so the campus will ultimately be served entirely by carbon-free energy sources such as renewables and nuclear power.… Continue Reading

Natasha Agrawal receives Fulbright U.S. Distinguished Teaching Award to Nepal

Natasha Agrawal MEd ’10 was selected for the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short Term Program. This summer, she will travel to Nepal and spend six weeks training teachers in the small town of Dhangadhi. Department of State names TCNJ a top producer of Fulbrights

The U.S. Department of State has recognized The College of New Jersey as one of only three “Top Fulbright-Producing Institutions” in New Jersey — alongside Princeton and Rutgers–New Brunswick — for the 2023–24 academic year.
